Highlighting the importance of visual consistency, balancing efficiency with artistry, and using innovative techniques to enhance your storytelling. The chapter also encourages you to choose methods that align with the narrative’s tone while maintaining cohesion and creativity. BBC Logo Stinger – 2021

This is a great use of squash and stretch with the squares that the letters “BBC” sit in.

Pixar Intro

The Pixar intro uses anticipation when the lamp bends down and wiggles before attempting to hop onto the I and take it’s place. An iconic intro.

Meet Anger

This is a pretty obvious form of exaggeration, but that is basically the whole point of the movie Inside Out. So when Anger gets angry, you know it. The added red glow, fire coming from the top of his head, etc. exaggerates his character in the perfect way.

How To Train Your Dragon

As most animated movies do, How To Train Your Dragon uses solid drawing to create depth and further back character development. Through the use of things like shadows and silhouettes this 2D movie is brought to life.

Repunzel

Hair is always a good example of Follow Through & Overlapping so naturally, Rapunzel is FULL of that. I chose this scene specifically because it’s not just dragging behind her, it’s moving throughout the water as her powers flow through it.

Create

A little fun fact about me is that every Wednesday night, I host a radio show called “Wallowing Hour” every through Quinnipiac’s radio station, WQAQ! So, I decided to create my logo stinger based on my logo and branding for my show. Overall, I wanted to emulate a record player, and I’m really happy with how it turned out!
